Advanced Audiology strives to increase presence in local nonprofits

It’s all about family at Advanced Audiology.

For Nola Aronson, a Santa Clarita resident and owner of the 29-year-old practice, helping the community is her goal.

“We’re going to be more of the ‘community’ audiologists,” Aronson said. “I’m growing in my activity for nonprofit organizations.”

The full-service hearing center located on Valencia Blvd. is gearing up to increase its nonprofit efforts in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Last October, Aronson and the practice donated $2,000 to Circle of Hope and hopes to donate more money in 2014.

“I live in this community, and I really want to help this community in any way that I can,” Aronson said.

Her efforts don’t stop there. Aronson is planning to help out other nonprofit organizations and the city of Santa Clarita.

“I’m hoping to get on the board of Teen Action,” Aronson said. “I am an ambassador of the (SCV Chamber of Commerce), and we’re getting very involved in community needs.”

Although some may wonder how these organizations relate to hearing loss, Aronson explained that helping out these organizations is something she is passionate about.

“It’s just something I’m interested in for my community because I don’t want kids to be on drugs,” Aronson said.
Her efforts at aiding the community all originate when a patient walks into the office.

“The patients that come in here – we treat them like family,” Aronson said. “When they come in, they come in to an atmosphere of being at home. Our waiting room is like a living room.”

One thing Aronson wants people to know is that Advanced Audiology doesn’t just offer medical products; they offer full support to help people get back to normal living.

“What we address for them is all the issues that they are having regarding their hearing preventing them from doing the things they like to do,” Aronson explained. “We help people hear better, so they can have better social lives and continue to do things that they like to do, like go out to eat, go to meetings, go to church. And the other interest is to serve my community.”

Now equipped with two sound suites, Advanced Audiology is a full diagnostic center that aids physicians in diagnosing hearing problems in office.

“You can get hearing aids that are less expensive at other places, like Costco, but you cannot get the same type of service,” Aronson said. “Service is what’s important in fitting a hearing aid because you need a lot of adjustment and care. That’s what we provide.”

Advanced Audiology prides itself in lifetime support for their patients, offering services many years after a purchase for no additional cost than the original purchase fees.

“It’s a long-term investment,” Aronson said. “Being able to communicate better and lead a better social life is not just the purpose of the product. We’re your hearing aid health care partner; we’re not just a sales place selling you a product.”

Aronson and the team at Advanced Audiology strive to give each person a positive and successful experience.

“The team of Audiology is also like a family, and we all work together. Everybody is trained,” she said. “You can walk into the practice, and everyone will know what to do.”

The practice has grown significantly, seeing an average of 100 new patients per month, and they accept all medical insurance carriers.
