Five young boys recently formed Blenz, a charity-minded Santa Clarita Valley lemonade stand that sprung up from a passion for juice squeezing.

All Saugus or Newhall residents, fifth-graders Bryce, Luke, Eric, Nico and Zach were enjoying the summer and having fun squeezing orange juice from the yard. Inspired, they decided to try and sell it.

Forming Blenz, named after each of the boys’ initials, they held their first official meeting.

On the agenda was a proposal to donate 10 percent of profits to the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. The motion was approved.

Since then, they’ve been taking turns hosting sales throughout the summer. Most sales are done in Circle J Ranch.

Blenz Juice Stand offers both regular and strawberry lemonade for 50 cents and $1, respectively.
