A man was mugged at gunpoint for his iPod and cash in Canyon Country Sunday afternoon, a local sheriff’s spokesman said.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, three young men — all described as having shaved heads and in their mid-20s — confronted a man at the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Whites Canyon Road, said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“We had a robbery in the 27000 block of Whites Canyon,” Bryski said.

“We’re out looking for them.”

No shots were fired and no one was hurt, he said.

The robbers demanded the victim hand over his belongings, which were an iPod and $30 in cash.

Local deputies scoured the area looking for three suspects.

One suspect is described as wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

A second suspect is described as wearing a black shirt and blue jeans and the third, as wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

The search led deputies to Delight Street off Langside Avenue.

"The search led deputies to Delight Street off Langside Avenue."

And...?

Is Jim going to have a part-2 to this article, or is this all he got from the Sheriff's email?

REALLY? 4pm @Whites and Soledad and nobody saw anything? Were the Deputies led by a Rooster to Langside and Delight or some cocks in blue jeans? C'mon Jim.

His writing is just horrible. And I do not hate Jim as some readers assume. Perhaps those who understand Jim talk can tell us what he really meant by this story ending at Delight St and Langside Avenue.

I interpret that to mean that is the direction the suspects ran off to. The Deputies couldn't find them. I wonder if it's the same three that held up a woman the other day at the Summit.

This Jim bashing is getting a little old. If we keep it up they might just stop the comment column. They might even wonder if anyone that contributes to this section is really a Signal subscriber.

I'm also curious what led the sheriff to Delight Street off Langside Avenue.

The truth is, he writes to create ire, so they can guage the readership online. Go Jim, you keep us all laughing at least.

You mean people subscribe to this stuff?

I have noticed other articles that seem to have been posted to the site before the author was quite finished with them. In this case I think there was more material and we'll get it later as an update. That last sentence really looks like it's "hanging."

The muggers sure as heck didn't run that far, so the question of what led the Deputies to Delight/Langside can only be answered with speculation. Possibly a witness got a license plate and that's where the registered owner lives. Perhaps a witness followed them there.

Man, I hate that liberal PC nonsense prevents us from getting a decent description of the muggers. I have blue jeans and a blue shirt- should I refrain from wearing them in case someone thinks I might be a criminal?

Just a suggestion... Maybe the Signal would consider a DEVELOPING NEWS column that would then feed into to the local news through an update. Even just heading up a news story with "Developing news more to come" would be fair and reasonable. I don't expect that every fact will be posted within minutes, but I do appreciate knowing about something as soon as possible, so I haven't really squealed too much about the fragmented info.
