Three men listed as transients from Santa Clarita have been arrested on suspicion of running a pot-growing operation in the hills near Templin Highway,

The three were arrested at a marijuana growing operation off Templin Highway, said Lt. Brenda Cambra, who heads the detective section at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Templin Highway is located north of Castaic and crosses Interstate 5.

Members of the Marijuana Eradication Team out of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department disrupted the operation Friday morning, Cambra said Monday.

The deputies took three young men into custody, and each was being held on $50,000 bail.

They are: Adrinn Esparza-Haro, 21, described as unemployed; and two men identified as gardeners by occupation: Manuel Mendoz, 21, and Ramiro Delgado-Perez, 22.

Each was charged with felony counts of unlawfully planting and/or cultivating marijuana.

How about going after meth labs instead of this nonsense?

At least they were trying to start their own business!

I hope that the DA works out a deal so they will be able to get a job without having a Felony on their record. They are too young to have their lives ruined.

Sorry to burst someones bubble, but these are not three young people like what you might have living next door. It's more likely they are gang members and are heavily armed. I wouldn't be shocked if the recent young male Hispanic found dead (found at a recent brush fire site) was in some way affiliated. It's a very scary area and yes people have been found dead or have gone missing in this general area for the last several years.

Thanks deputies. I appreciate you taking down this illegal operation.
