Some Santa Clarita Valley teens were identified in nude photographs posted on a Twitter account this week, according to detectives assigned to the Special Victims Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives with the specialized bureau are investigating reports that some Twitter accounts posted photographs of naked Santa Clarita Valley teenage boys and girls, said Sgt. Brian Hudson of the Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau.

Hudson said some Santa Clarita Valley teens were identified in the posting.

The investigation centers around a Twitter account called SCV Purge, he told The Signal Thursday.

“We’re looking into information pertaining to SCV Purge,” he said Thursday. “That’s the twitter account used apparently.

“We’ve been in touch with Twitter.”

Hudson some Santa Clarita Valley teens were identified in the posting. The Twitter site under investigation is no longer accessible, he said.

“Anytime we have pictures of children that are nude, it’s child porn,” Hudson said. “The harm that comes to these children because of such photos is a concern for us.”

A local detective with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station assigned to the bureau is also looking into the incident.

“There is an active investigation involving Twitter by the Special Victims Bureau,” Detective Richard Simmons said Thursday.

Local detectives are looking into Twitter account postings, he said Thursday.

“The case is ongoing and that’s all I can say at this point,” Simmons said.

EXCELLENT use of police resources! (sarcasm)

Detective Richard Simmons??!!! Is he "Bustin' to the Oldies?"

Complain if the police respond, complain if they don't respond... Gotta love it.

Stupid kids. In the 6th grade we "flashed" the boys our boobs after the 6th grade graduation. This is just new technology to do the same. Only problem with the new technology is it is out there forever and that weirdoes can get ahold of these pictures now. And the kids are showing a lot more explicit stuff now too. They will be sorry someday.

Egbert, nooooo, I'm sure he's too busy with his "deal a meal" program.

DMeyer: Posted: July 17, 2014 3:34 p.m.

Unreal is right. This type of behavior has always been around and always will be.

The war on teen flashing has been a failed policy. Anyone want to just legalize it and tax it? (sarcasm)

EgbertSouse4U: Posted: July 17, 2014 3:46 p.m.

DMeyer: It's Obama's fault. (even more sarcasm)

Boobies in 6th grade........weren't those the training bra days?!?!

Unreal: Posted: July 17, 2014 4:10 p.m.

Everyone except Sheila (no last name)was in training bras. Sheila was way ahead of the rest of us.

Heh...Bustin' to the Oldies....nice pull, Egbert. lol

timothymyers02: Posted: July 17, 2014 7:08 p.m.

Every sixth grade has a "Sheila" much to the distraction of the sixth grade males.

Lot's of funny comments and in spirit I agree. Teenagers behaving like teenagers imagine that.

I would add though, that I wouldn't be shocked if this has a significant negative affect on at least a few of these girls. First the embarrassment then possible trouble with the parents and most likely the worst if they feel that they betrayed by believing their photo was only for a certain person. Let's face it with the lack of real life social interaction many kids today don't possess a whole lot of coping skills.

Last, but not least, sooooo many perverts in this world. Let's hope this site was only being viewed by a bunch dumb kids and not enjoyed by filthy pedophiles.

PUT THOSE CELL PHONES DOWN ,AND ALL THE GAME CONTRAPTIONS**

There will be a period of adjustment as the kids learn better how to control their imaging. Already they use sharing sites that create a photo that only lasts long enough to view and which cannot be copied and shared. They aren't stupid.

timothymyers02: Posted: July 18, 2014 1:06 p.m.

Since this investigation is just bringing MORE attention to this twitter account and humiliation to the folks involved I wonder whose parent decided to make a stink about this to the detriment of ALL involved, including the victims.

ricketzz: Posted: July 19, 2014 8:56 a.m.

It must be really weird growing up in this environment. Like being born into the middle of a Mad Max movie.

Unreal - LMBO - its safe to say the "S" in my name doesn't stand for Sheila!!!

Indeed they aren't stupid, thus they screen shot the picture THEN share it.
