Dozens of vehicles went on display Saturday for an event meant to thrill gearheads and support The Gentle Barn.
Vehicles of all makes, models and types were on display Saturday at Saugus Speedway as part of the High Octane Charity Car Show, which raised money for The Gentle Barn.

Some of the vehicles on display Saturday included those belonging to Rikki Rockett — drummer for the band Poison.

“I got involved with the Gentle Barn just because I enjoy bringing my family there,” Rockett said Saturday. “It’s such a positive atmosphere, it’s an atmosphere of caring and generosity and that’s what I like to impart on my family.”

Christopher Haydostian said Saturday he was representing R-Technique, a marketing and consulting firm specializing in the sport compact automotive industry.

“My charity of choice that I wanted to support and work with to help is actually The Gentle Barn,” he said. “So I decided to host the charity car show for their benefit.”

Haydostian brought his high-performance vehicle, “Buttercup,” to Saturday’s event. Buttercup the cow was also on hand in honor of the event’s fundraising for The Gentle Barn.

“The kind of amazing thing about this event is that Christopher’s car’s name is Buttercup and that’s how he kind of connected with The Gentle Barn,” said Jay Weiner of The Gentle Barn. “So we brought Buttercup the cow and Buttercup the car and it’s really a great day out here for all the families in the area.”

Proceeds of the event went to The Gentle Barn, which is located at 15825 Sierra Highway. For more information, visit
