A motorcyclist was injured and taken to the hospital shortly after 11 a.m. today following a multi-vehicle crash in Saugus, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Paramedics responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two cars and a motorcycle on Soledad Canyon Road just under the Golden Valley Road overpass near Valley Center Drive, a Fire Department spokesman said.

“We got the call as a traffic collision involving three vehicles,” he said. “We transported one patient to an area hospital.”

The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. in the left lane of westbound of Soledad just east of Valley Center Drive. It involved a gray-colored Honda Accord, a plum-colored Cadillac SUV and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The drivers of the Honda and SUV were not reported to be hurt, the Fire Department spokesman said.

A white-haired woman, believed to be the driver of the SUV, received attention from paramedics but was not reported to be hurt.

Paramedics left the scene at 11:06 a.m. with the ambulance heading toward Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

One woman who witnessed part of the paramedic rescue described the injured rider as a “big guy on a stretcher in a neck brace with bad burns all over.”

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station stopped westbound traffic for at least 30 minutes on Soledad while paramedics tended to the motorcyclist and tow trucks removed the damaged Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

One deputy paid particular attention to damage on the rear passenger-side bumper of the Honda Accord.

Get well soon brother. Hope everyone is alright. Let's not blame anyone based on "what I've seen around the SCV"

Hope all parties involved are in good standing.

Not that it really matters but the wrecked motorcycle is not a Harley Davidson.

Appears to be a Yamaha Star model cruiser.

Show me the bottom side of anything and I'll tell you what it is..,,,,,
