An 11-year-old Pacoima boy who went missing in Canyon Country Tuesday evening has been found safe, a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station spokesman said today.

“He was found last night around 10:30,” said Sgt. Cortland Myers. “One of our off-duty deputies spotted him.”

Sheriff’s Station deputies, along with the Santa Clarita Valley Search and Rescue Team, began hunting for Ricardo Emmanuel Paniagua on Tuesday night, Deputy Josh Dubin said in a news release.

“He apparently became upset and ran away from his mother at approximately 6:30 p.m. (Tuesday),” Dubin said. He went missing in the area of Whites Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.

His parents must be freaking out.Maybe he is at a friend's house hiding in their bedroom or hiding in a car and fell asleep? I will keep an eye out.

I pray he is found safe and sound...such a hard age. Drive home that way every day, will for sure keep a look out.

Wow Signal, you’re really on top of things. This kid was found YESTERDAY, yet you posted the story today about him missing and then followed up an hour later saying he was found.

There's is something very odd about this whole episode. If the reports are correct he was found in Central Park? How does an 11 year walk from the Soledad/White's Canyon intersection without someone helping him get there. Very strange...seems like some facts are missing.

Just glad he is okay and safely home.

That's not a bad walk. I wandered a lot when I was a kid.

rickettz: True. I look back to when I was a kid and my brother and I probably walked a good 5-10 miles a day and God knows how many miles we rode on our bikes.

But today, kids need to check in on their cellphones everywhere they go or they are glued to the TV playing games.
