The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory today for the Santa Clarita Valley and much of the rest of Southern California.

The advisory, which takes effect at 3 p.m., warns of strong northwest to north wind gusts up to 60 mph in the Santa Clarita Valley through 10 a.m. Thursday, making driving of high-profile vehicles difficult.

The wind is expected to diminish Thursday, and by Friday temperatures are expected to climb back up to 80 degrees.
