A 20-year-old man was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a traffic collision in Valencia, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The crash occurred when a white Ford Fusion traveling eastbound on Copper Hill Drive collided with a black Honda Civic that was exiting Copperstone Drive, according to a collision report issued by the Sheriff’s Station.

The driver of the Honda, whose identity was not released, was treated at the scene by personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in “severe critical condition,” according to the report.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Scott Miller said two people were transported to the hospital after the collision. The condition of the second individual was unknown.

Eastbound traffic was temporarily diverted on Copper Hill Drive at Decoro Drive as crews worked at the scene.

Santa Clarita Valley resident Gail Pinsker said she was walking her dogs when she came across the accident scene.

Pinsker said crews had to break the windows of the black Honda to extricate the person inside and that the person received oxygen and was administered CPR before being transported from the scene.

Witnesses to the collision were asked to contact Detective Kelly at 661-255-1121.

Dear SIGNAL, as respect to the family of Dylan Zimmerman, why not remove the pictures from the website. They don't need this memory.
