Members of the William S. Hart Union High School District board recognized and congratulated the district’s high school marching bands and pageantry corps for successful seasons on Wednesday night.

All six of the district’s comprehensive high schools — Canyon High School, Golden Valley High School, Hart High School, Saugus High School, Valencia High School and West Ranch High School — qualified to participate in the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association division championships last fall.

The Valencia band took home first-place honors in Division 3A, while the Hart band took home the top award in Division 4A, according to the district.

West Ranch percussion won top honors in Division 5A, according to the district.

The board recognized the young performers during its Wednesday night meeting.
