If you recognize the female in the photo please contact Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Detective Sgt. J. Anderson at 661-255-1121.

As part of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station continued outreach efforts aimed at keeping the public informed about crime and crime rates in our community, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station wants to raise awareness about a number of scams that are becoming more prevalent in the Santa Clarita Valley.

In recent weeks detectives have learned of a female going door to door in residential neighborhoods throughout our valley.  The female states her name is Sirena Sanchez and says she is collecting donations for Children’s Hospital in order to purchase books.  One victim reported that “Sirena Sanchez” spoke with a speech impediment.  When a cash donation was received, “Sirena Sanchez” issued a receipt.  Upon examination, it was discovered the business name on the receipt does not appear to be linked with a legitimate charitable organization.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Detectives began an investigation into the legitimacy of this female collecting money on behalf of Children’s Hospital and the organization she claimed to work for.  Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the female shown in the attached surveillance photo.  This female is a person of interest in this investigation and detectives would like to locate her for questioning.

If you recognize the female in the photo or have any further information that can assist in this investigation, please contact Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Detective Sgt. J. Anderson at 661-255-1121 or at

If you would like to remain anonymous, please call the LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

We always encourage residents to immediately report criminal or suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. If you have fallen victim to what you believe is a scam, please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at 661-255-1121. We encourage you to stay engaged with helping us keep Santa Clarita safe.

Remember, by working together, we can send a "Not in Santa Clarita" message!

How about getting rid of the Planet-Aid "donation' bins that are located everywhere, even on some public schools. Tvind who own them is a scam run by thieves at TG Pacifico.

One look at how she's dressed and I'm wondering who took this woman seriously enough to hand over money.

And she is probably collecting food stamps and welfare benefits...perhaps thats a place to start checking...the state system. Maybe I am profiling here but...when I see a spade, I call it a spade...or something like that ...

SingleMomOfOne: Posted: February 1, 2014 9:35 p.m.

Maybe if she showed a little more boob...
