Letter: Extreme makeover leads to better understanding

In December, The Signal reported that I had won an “extreme makeover” of the landscaping at my home in Saugus sponsored by the Castaic Lake Water Agency and Stay Green Inc.

The work was completed last week, and I could not be happier. Through the process I learned a lot about landscape design, proper plant selection and efficient irrigation methods and control.

I want to publicly acknowledge the advice and professionalism of the representatives at CLWA and Stay Green for their dedication and work on the project.

Together, they demonstrated to me that all homeowners can make smart changes to their landscaping that will beautify the residence and conserve water.
