Stop the blame game

Let’s stop the blame game and who’s idea it was about the sequestration.
It is what it is, unfortunately, so let’s put the" Blame on Mame."

If it makes the Republicans happy, let’s put the blame on President Obama.

Now that the blame for sequestration is out in the open, just get on with trying to fix it!

Yeah, what difference does it make?

It's not like we wanted it to happen.

chico: Posted: March 11, 2013 10:11 a.m.

Wait...I just remembered, the whole reason the tours of the White House were shut down was to CREATE SOME PAIN.

In a situation like this, it doesn't look very becoming when an author goes all 'Rodney King' with the "Can't we all just get along?" routine.

Lots of Americans already know what it's like to take a pay cut.

So all the wailing is failing.

BBennetts: Posted: March 11, 2013 10:43 a.m.

Fix what? The government had to tighten it's belt just a smidge. Who is playing the blame game? I think most American's really are unimpressed at the government kicking and screaming over budget cuts.

Also, what is "Blame on Mame?" Another confusing Lois letter.

OldReliable: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:03 a.m.

Hey Lois, how long before Democrats pass a budget bill... it's only been, what... 4 years now. Hello? Cut the dang spending!

BBennetts: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:14 a.m.

To Lois, the 'fix' = spend more money.

therightstuff: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:22 a.m.

Ladimas has always insisted she is not Lois Eisenberg. Here are two quotes from both names about the Sequester just one day apart:

LADIMAS: Posted: March 10, 2013 1:10 p.m.
"""If it makes the GOP happy blame President Obama for the Sequester !!
Who cares who idea it was, just get on the stick and solve it !!!"""

Lois Eisenberg: Posted: March 11, 2013
"""If it makes the Republicans happy, let’s put the blame on President Obama.
Now that the blame for sequestration is out in the open, just get on with trying to fix it!"""

BINGO!!!

therightstuff: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:24 a.m.

This is the part when Ladimas posts..."Great letter Lois!"

Raj: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:31 a.m.

I feel like the LA Times would have better discussions had any of my work been deemed 'worthy' for it's opinion; oh sorry, I was just letting my mind wander.

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:39 a.m.

."Great letter Lois!"

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:42 a.m.

"BINGO" TO MY ABOVE POST !!!!!

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:47 a.m.

Oh by the way another LTE by Lois's !!!!!!!

therightstuff: Posted: March 11, 2013 11:47 a.m.

"""oh sorry, I was just letting my mind wander."""

I think that's the key to getting a letter posted in The Signal. Works for Lois aka Ladimas.

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 12:06 p.m.

Also, what is "Blame on Mame?" GEE WHIZ every one knows that saying ???????? Gee Whiz another confusing post by BB not knowing about "put the blame on mane"

"When they had the earthquake - in San Francisco-back in 19`6
They said that old mother nature - was up to her old tricks.
That's the story that went around, but here's the real lowdown-
Put the blame on mame boys, put the blame on mame
One night she started to - shim and shake-
that brought on the `Frisco quake
So you can, Put the blame on mame boys,
put the blame on mame.
They once had a shootin' -up in the Klondike when they got Dan McGrew
Folks were puttin' the blame on - the lady known as Lew
that's the story that went around, but here's the real lowdown-
Put the blame on mame boys,
put the blame on mame
Mame did a dance called the Hichy-koo,
that's the thing that slew McGrew
So you can, Put the blame on mame boys
PUT-THE-BLAME-ON-MAME"

OldReliable: Posted: March 11, 2013 12:17 p.m.

So, LadiLois... where'e your response on Dems passing no budget bill in 4 years? Hello....

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 12:47 p.m.

"Dems passing no budget bill in 4 years? Hello...."
Sooooooooooooooo one demential!!!
The same complaint over and over and over again !!
SO AS THE OLD SAYING GOES "WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE" "HELLO"

BBennetts: Posted: March 11, 2013 12:48 p.m.

Wow. Sorry I am not up on songs from over 70 years ago.

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 1:24 p.m.

67 years ago to be exact!!! BB you better get your facts straight ????

"Put the Blame on Mame," a song from the movie "GILDA" in 1946
with Rita Hayworth.

Dumbounded: Posted: March 11, 2013 1:38 p.m.

Good lord Ladimas! I almost thought I might agree with you after seeing the title of your letter, but sadly I can't because I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I don't blame anyone for the sequestration because I'm in favor of it. I wish we would do it again! You do KNOW that we're still going to spend 15 billion more this year than last, right? All we're doing is cutting the GROWTH! Also, why the jab to Republicans if we're going to "stop the blame game"? If we're really going to stop the blame game, why don't we blame both parties! There is no monopoly on idiocy in DC and both parties stink of incompetence.

And as for quoting songs from 67 years ago, what the heck are you thinking? You're old, we get it, but can you at least quote something that someone under the age of 80 can relate to or understand? You're really limiting your demographic. "Yea, I remember when the telephone was invented......"

therightstuff: Posted: March 11, 2013 1:47 p.m.

Good point, DB. We're not "blaming" anybody. I give "credit" to the GOP for standing their ground against Obama's tactics. They were re-elected to control the little president's addiction to spending. Good job...keep it up!

Dumbounded: Posted: March 11, 2013 1:51 p.m.

Since it was really Obama's idea, Jack Lew, I give Obama credit! There you have it Ladimas or Lois or whatever you want to call yourself, I give Obama credit for doing something good and to think it only took 50 months to accomoplish this simple act.

itzreality: Posted: March 11, 2013 2:50 p.m.

Stop sending billions overseas each day and use the money here! I am one American tired of being the world's ATM! Kerry was just in Egypt and gave them 233 billion to assist them, what about us???????
Charity begins are home!

LADIMAS: Posted: March 11, 2013 3:11 p.m.

Good Lord "What difference does it make" who's who and who is what !!!
The same thing over and over again !!
Again one demential posting !!

Dumbounded: Posted: March 11, 2013 3:28 p.m.

Itz, it's 233 million, not billion. I know that the way we throw around money it doesn't matter much, but that's a pretty big difference.

Lois, "demential"? Is that an affliction that one gets when one has dementia?

As for the difference, it makes a big difference because our leaders lie and people like you suck it up like a baby breast feeding. Jack Lew, in budget negotiations in 2011, suggested the sequester thinking the defense cuts were so horrible that the Repubs would eventually cave, as they usually do, on the planned cuts. Yes, the Dem Senate and the Repub House agreed to the plan but something went wrong! A year and a half later Repubs decided that they would take the cuts and then Obama wet his pants over the cuts. Like the little bratty child he is, he cut the Whitehouse tours thinking Americans would cave at such an outrage. Our president manchild is such a pathetic excuse for a leader, he can't even keep his lies straight. But as I said, I like the sequester but his reaction to the Repubs calling his bluff reminded me of a 6 year old having a tantrum because her brother used the red bath towel instead of the blue one. Gosh, I hope he doesn't threaten to take his toys and go inside for another 46 months....

ohhyaa: Posted: March 11, 2013 4:36 p.m.

@trs. LADIMAS is Lois. Well that sure explains a lot. Last time I posted my opposition on a Lois LTE some character called LADIMAS came at me like it was their battle to fight.

I also am glad that the GOP is holding their ground. Aren't the automatic budget cuts what obozo negotiated for last year. Isn't it BHO's fault that he lost all of his marbles in a bad school yard trade?

ohhyaa: Posted: March 11, 2013 4:40 p.m.

The Donald has offered to pay the $73,000 per week to keep the white house tours open. Thank you Mr. Trump for your generous offer. Now let's see if the white house will accept the offer.

chefgirl358: Posted: March 11, 2013 4:53 p.m.

Ladi, You know the story about the whole "mame" thing because it was probably a popular thing when it happened, so it must have stuck with you from the days of your youth in "19'6". Are you an octagenarian? Happy belated.

therightstuff: Posted: March 11, 2013 6:30 p.m.

"""The Donald has offered to pay the $73,000 per week to keep the white house tours open."""

Glad to hear that. I just hope all these cut backs won't effect Michelle's 50th birthday celebrity bash being planned at the White House next year.

OldReliable: Posted: March 11, 2013 7:11 p.m.

I see that John Boehner has not ceased Capitol Building tours. Bravo!

CaptGene: Posted: March 16, 2013 3:15 p.m.

It’s a long way to Tiperarie, eh LADIMAS?
