Regarding the Michael Reagan column “Hollywood liberals are standing down for Israel” published Aug. 4 in The Signal: My thoughts exactly!

Thank you for writing this article, Michael; it is appreciated by all who understand the truth.

The American People do not have infinite patience. Some think that the little brother is abusing the friendship by picking fights for Big Brother to finish. Our position will now be reviewed.

Is is just easier to blow up a building than to search it? Are they as hateful and cruel as they claim to be on their Instagrams? This is not a weapons roundup; this is collective punishment of unarmed 3rd parties to an internal peeing match among old Semite chiefs. Israelites and Arabs are both Semites. They are cousins. Israel is no democracy until they drop the "Jewish state" nonsense and tear down the walls and let everyone vote. The Irish made friends; the Afrikaaner made friends; this is no different. Step 1 is admitting each side has very valid claims on the land between the Jordan and the Sea. They must learn to share or they must go away.

Your ignorance is astounding. THEY WERE OFFERED LAND IN 1948 AND THEY TURNED IT DOWN! THEY WERE LATER OFFERED A TWO STATE SOLUTION AND THEY TURNED IT DOWN. I say eliminate the enemy and good riddance. Go Israel!

What room is there for negotiation when Hamas makes destruction of Israel a condition of peace?

This is beyond Palestine. Hamas and their allied Islamists seek restoration of the full 7th Century AD Caliphate, by force of arms if necessary.

From the Hamas Charter, circa 1988:

"Israel will rise and will remain erect until Islam eliminates it as it had eliminated its predecessors." (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-banns, May Allah Pity his Soul).

Strategies and Methods
Strategies of the Islamic Resistance Movement: Palestine Is Islamic Waqf:

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Muslim generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who can presume to speak for all Islamic generations to the Day of Resurrection?

This is the status [of the land] in Islamic Sharia (law), and the same goes for all lands conquered by Muslims by force, during the times of (Islamic) conquests, and made thereby Waqf lands upon their conquest, for all generations of Muslims until the Day of Resurrection.

It happened like this: When the leaders of the Islamic armies conquered Syria and Iraq, they sent to the Caliph of the Muslims, Umar bin-el-Khatab, asking for his advice concerning the conquered land - whether they should divide it among the soldiers, or leave it for its owners, or what? After consultations and discussions between the Caliph of the Muslims, Omar bin-el-Khatab and companions of the Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, it was decided that the land should be left with its owners who could benefit by its fruit, but the control of the land and the land itself ought to be endowed as a Waqf [in perpetuity] for all generations of Muslims until the Day of Resurrection. The ownership of the land by its owners is only one of usufruct, and this Waqf will endure as long as Heaven and earth last. Any demarche in violation of this law of Islam, with regard to Palestine , is baseless and reflects on its perpetrators.

All of that historical crap is just that. This is 13% into the 21st Century. There is no Jewish race. A Jewish State is no less absurd than an Islamic State. There is no Caliphate. We are modern people who run religion in the background if at all. Likudniks are the Hamas of Judaism.

Your children want you all to grow up and drop the beef.

You're welcome to ignore history while the adults mind it, ricketzz.

Cricketzz. People like you would be the first ones they would hang in the town square.

They don't like you. They don't like me. They want us dead.

They have a true war on women and children yet liberals coddle them like babies because they believe their lies.

We don't live in a Star Trek world. What we have now is a complete failure of US exceptionalism.

Ideology will never overcome reality. Wake up to that idea. --edited.

I am not afraid of John McCain's buddies. The I.S. is unraveling. People are very fickle when the bigger guns show up. If you really want to see sectarian unity in Iraq send US warriors back in. Same goes here. We will all squabble until an existential threat unites us. Global Warming for instance.

Those that delude themselves that global withdrawal equates to safety fail to note recruiting in Western democracies for jihad. Fight in theater and return to wage jihad in the homeland is the methodology.

Some Democrats get it, even if Obama the Amateur does not.

Hillary Clinton interview:

She was interviewed before the US president's decision Thursday to order limited air strikes to check an IS offensive into Kurdistan, which threatened US nationals and facilities and sent thousands of refugees fleeing into the mountains.

Obama, who oversaw the US withdrawal from Iraq in 2011, vowed not to send US troops back into the country and said Iraqis needed to confront the jihadist threat by forming an inclusive unity government.

Clinton, however, suggested in the interview that Obama lacked a strategy for dealing with the jihadist threat.

"Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle," she said referring to an Obama slogan.

She said the United States must develop an "overarching" strategy to confront Islamist extremism, likening it to the long US struggle against Soviet-led communism.

"One of the reasons why I worry about what’s happening in the Middle East right now is because of the breakout capacity of jihadist groups that can affect Europe, can affect the United States," she said.

"Jihadist groups are governing territory. They will never stay there, though. They are driven to expand. Their raison d’etre is to be against the West, against the Crusaders, against the fill-in-the-blank - and we all fit into one of these categories.”

"How do we try to contain that? I’m thinking a lot about containment, deterrence, and defeat," she said.

Her arguments, seen as an attempt to distance herself from Obama, echoed those of Republican critics who accuse Obama of allowing a power vacuum to develop by failing to bring US leadership to bear in conflicts from Syria to Iraq to Ukraine.

I told you Hillary was a war monger. Obama can't unseat al Maliki without Ayatolah Khameni's blessing, or the Iran nuke talks fall apart. If Obama arms the Kurds the Turks will freak. The Kurds are at war with al Maliki and Iran too. The Syrian resistance McCain wanted us to arm is the same enemy called ISIL in Iraq. If anywhere screamed "get out" louder than this place I haven't heard about it. Sea based drones operated by untraceable third parties, an occasional surprise cruise missile is about as far as we can go. If we arm Kurds in any meaningful way it must be by chasing IS away from our stuff, then letting the Kurds have it by not recovering it ourselves.

tech: Posted: August 13, 2014 1:45 p.m.

Hillary is an opportunist, not a "war monger" per se. She was against the Iraq "surge" for political rather than practical reasons.

Absent arms and air cover from Baghdad, the USA is the only option to prevent genocide of the Kurds by the savages in IS. Overrunning Kirkuk will provide IS with unlimited black market funds to build a caliphate that ignores nation state borders.
