Pakistan will remain in the dark ages

Recently a mob in Pakistan burned down eight Ahmadi Muslim homes, which resulted in the deaths of three children and a 55-year old grandmother.

A barbaric and twisted way to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan? Certainly.

What struck me was seeing people seemingly as young as 12 who were so ecstatic and celebrated the burning of these homes, as though they had made a major achievement.

It made me realize: just like my parents taught me to respect everyone, similarly, their parents likely taught them that killing Ahmadis is a source of blessings.

Only such brainwashing could make someone celebrate such a horrific act. Indeed, this is what many preachers in Pakistan teach.

I believe Pakistan will remain in the dark ages until its educated population becomes strong enough to oppose religious fundamentalists.

For now, one can pray for the religious minorities of Pakistan — indeed, as Ahmadi Muslims, in our 125-year history, that always has been, and always will be, our biggest “weapon” to counter these misguided individuals.

Are you sure it wasn't a spontaneous reaction to an offensive video? Hey - that lie worked once.

That's your religion Saad and you and your fellow Muslims are responsible for this barbaric behavior. Sadly, it's not just Pakistan, but in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, and many other Muslim nations this kind of barbaric behavior is not only accepted, but hailed as being faithful to Allah. Until Muslims purge themselves of this scourge, your religion will not be the religion of peace and will continue to be mocked as the backward relic that it is. On the other hand, Muslims breed like rabbits so in a 100 years maybe everyone will be Muslim?

"Benghazi dead in the water ***** "

Just like the Ambassador and the former seals?

Lois, your statement proves the left is out of touch and will only do what is necessary to be in control.

Now ask yourself, honestly, and I am not asking you for a reply, but TRULY ask yourself if you would feel the same way if your kids was one of the ones that were murdered. --edited.

This is Islam. The religion of peace.

I am really sick and tired of being told we must "respect" Muslims.
Why? They show no respect for anyone else!

I am Christian and will show respect to anyone who deserves it whether I agree with their beliefs or not.

I pray for Israel not the Palestinian people!

If Muslims want respect, they should put some skin in the game to eliminate the evil fringe that has hijacked their religion.

How much money have these oil rich countries put in on the war against terror?

How many of their soldiers have fought and died in this battle?

Instead of spitting on our flag or calling us the Great Satan, I'd like to see Muslim countries join forces with the United States and the rest of the world that is fighting against extremists that are killing their own people!

Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods: Dead in the U.S. compound.

And what did Obama do? Blamed it on a video and left for a fund raising trip to Vegas. Clinton didn't answer any questions for 10 weeks about the tragedy that happened on her watch. When asked about the video story all she could say was..."What difference does it make!"

Reason #4,193 why I would never be a Democrat.
