Ah, if it were only possible

I read in The Signal where George H. W. Bush, father of the infamous George W. Bush, “celebrated his 90th birthday on Thursday by making a tandem parachute jump.”

His companion in this event stated, “It’s a very good feeling to be involved and be able to turn back time.”

If it were only that easy.

The entire world would quickly return to the date of the presidential inauguration of George W. Bush and eliminate the next eight years.

And the following six, as well.

With an economy stalled, a national debt headed toward $18-trillion, a nation divided, Iraq on the brink of exploding, and a president in a free-fall of multiple scandals, this LTE whines about George W. Bush.

Nice going....Dick.

Next month will we calling Iraq George Bush's war?

17trillion: Posted: June 23, 2014 9:22 a.m.

How profound Dick! If we could turn back time perhaps we wouldn't have had Fast and Furious, Benghazi, AP, Rosen, IRS, waves of illegals invading us from the south, NSA spying on citizens and heads of state, not to mention fine times in Syria, Iraq, Russia and....I'm sure I've forgotten a few.

Sucks not to have the facts on your side eh?

Sucks not to have the facts on your side eh?

Not if you are liberal.

BrianBaker: Posted: June 23, 2014 12:17 p.m.

If you're a liberal, it's "Facts?... We don' need no steenkin' facts!"

As Larry Elder says, "Facts to a liberal are like kryptonite to Superman".

therightstuff: Posted: June 23, 2014 3:27 p.m.

I'd say facts to a liberal would be more like bullets to Superman. They bounce off.

The global weather system has been altered by man and is not behaving. Crops are failing due to mis-timed monsoons, excessive rain, insufficient rain, etc. Air travel is becoming less reliable as weather extremes keep planes on the ground. Snow must be imported for the Winter Olympics. You can't water the lawn.

May 2014 hottest May ever.

philellis: Posted: June 24, 2014 7:11 a.m.

ricketzz, if the Winter Olympics were held in Los Angeles we would have o import snow too. Do you know if the weather in England has yet warmed up to were it was during the Roman occupation?

CaptGene: Posted: June 24, 2014 2:16 p.m.

If it's not in a tweet, or being flacked at, then cricketzz has never heard it.

tech: Posted: June 24, 2014 2:19 p.m.

Silly philellis! Don't you know that history begins each morning?

tech: Posted: June 24, 2014 2:23 p.m. is run by skeptics, CG. It's right there in the domain name, see?

ricketzz: Posted: June 26, 2014 6:44 a.m.

Skeptical Science is run by scientists who are naturally skeptical. I dare you to seek the truth (aka the "real deal").

(As if we didn't have water rationing to remind us it stopped showing in a lot of places...)

"Skeptical Science is run by scientists…" - ricketzz

Wow tech. If any one of these clowns presented a position against AGW, the KoolAid® drinkers would dismiss them for not having the required educational background.

I wonder if Indy Nile knows about this? As often as he references that site, and given his queer interest in your educational background, I would think he'd want to know that he has been touting a bunch of phonies!

tech: Posted: July 4, 2014 7:59 p.m.

I've known it about it for some time but I held my fire until someone made a claim they were scientists, CG.

I was expecting Indy to do so because he relentlessly flacks the site. It was ricketzz that provided the opportunity, however. :-D --edited.

CaptGene: Posted: July 5, 2014 6:54 a.m.

Sorry, I stole your fire! steve quoted them the other day, referred to them as "real scientists". Sadly, it was not an AHA! moment for him to find out what frauds they are.

If it's any consolation, I basically did what you did here, except I added a link to a Forbes article about the "97%" number that we keep hearing. Turns out it came! steve has yet to comment on that, though Indy Nile tried to poison the well. Here's the link, check it out:
