While scanning the SCV Signal on Sunday morning, Jan. 19, on my computer I decided to click onto the Our Community section. I had exhausted my resources with LTEs, columnists, Signal editorials, business news,
sports news, and decided to read something new for me in The Signal.

I found Our Community most enjoyable, particularly the story about the birthday celebration of two Newhall Tennis Club members.

What an admirable group!

The boys of yesteryear might not be as fast or strong as the younger generations of tennis players, but their placement shots are a thing of beauty to behold.

Kudos to all the players for their enthusiasm for the game of tennis. Keep swinging, don’t keep the strings on the tennis racket too tight, place those shots to confuse your opponents, wear you visor, drink a lot of water, make sure that your tennis shoes have enough threads on the sole, and make sure your shoe laces are tied properly.

We don’t want to lose any you to injuries because of negligence.

Tennis is a sport that can be played by all ages for a life time.

Love, love to all you whole hearty tennis players.

@ BBennetts: How about river otters? Olive oil tastes good on bruschetta.

This is like telling race car drivers to mind the rules of the road and most importantly the speed limit, even when they're on the track. Cuckoo!
