Canyon Country West crime report: Suspect fills trashes door, bags property

Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information. Snapshot for 02-25-2013 to 03-03-2013

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

(2) Residential Burglaries, (3) Commercial Burglaries, (2) Vehicle Burglaries, (1) Petty Theft and (3) GTA’s

A residential burglary occurred near the 27000 block of Hidaway Street. The victim came home and noticed glass missing from her rear door. As she entered her residence, she heard a noise coming from upstairs. While checking the interior of her house, the suspect ran out of the location. As the victim gave chase, the suspect ran back into the house and retrieved two trash bags full of property then fled the scene.

A residential burglary occurred near the 26900 block of Flo Lane, when an unknown suspect entered the victim’s garage and took a bicycle and several tools.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 28100 block of Whites Canyon Road. When the victim returned to her vehicle, she noticed her front passenger window was smashed and her purse was missing from the front seat.

Another vehicle burglary occurred near the 18600 block of Via Princessa. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle and took a purse which was left on the seat.

There was a GTA/Grand Theft of Cargo laden freight that occurred near the 20700 Santa Clara Street. A 2008 Freightliner and 2000 trailer box was taken over night from a parking lot. The Freightliner was recovered in Los Angeles, however the trailer, which was carrying 24 pallets of digital televisions, is still outstanding.

A green 1994 Honda Accord 4DR was taken near the 19100 block of Nadal St. The vehicle was parked in a stall at the complex.

A gray 1986 BMW 325 Lic #6GXH057 was taken near the 26900 block of Flo Lane.

There has been more than just one break in. Just about everyone in my complex has had something stolen out of their garage. We all know who the person is. Neighbor gave the information to the sheriff dept and the break ins continue. The dude doing is bragging on his facebook. Hopefully hes caught soon before someone gets hurt or worse
