Canyon Country East Crime Report Zone 8: residential robbery reported

A residential burglary was reported near the 27000 block of Appaloosa Drive.  In this incident the victim left for vacation over the holiday weekend.  When he came home he saw that someone had broken into his home and stole several items from the location.  The suspects also stole the victims 2006 black Lexus convertible. 

There was a garage burglary reported near the 17500 block of Harris Way.  In this incident he suspect stole items from the victim’s vehicle which was parked in a garage.  The victim had only left the garage door open for a few minutes in the morning.

A vehicle burglary was reported at the intersection of Medley Ridge Drive/Lost Canyon Road.  In this incident the victim’s cell phone was stolen from the center console of the vehicle. 

If you are going on vacation it is good to let neighbors that you trust know so they can watch for suspicious activity at your home. Give your neighbors your phone number so they can confirm any suspicious activity with you.

There have been 6 arrests made in the last month stemming from the Canyon Country bike path robberies.  This case is still being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

A robbery is when things are taken from a person by force or fear. A burglary is when someone enters a structure with the intent to steal. Since nobody was home when this occurred it was most certainly NOT a robbery. C'mon Signal!
