Canyon Country West Crime Report Zone 7: assault investigated

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 20400 block of Soledad Canyon Road.  During a family dispute one family member punched another family member in the face causing injury.  The suspect was arrested.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives. 

A residential burglary occurred near the 27300 block of Altamere Avenue.  A former roommate entered through a doggy door while the current owner was home.  The suspect was confronted by the victim and the two started arguing.  Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect.   This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives. 

A residential burglary occurred near the 19100 block of Nadal Street.  The victim stated his Labrador dog, and leash was taken from within his house.  The victim provided deputies with possible suspect information.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives. 

A grand theft auto occurred near the 26400 block of Ruether Avenue.  Two suspects entered a business break area where they stole numerous employees’ purses.  They then walked the parking lot and stole a vehicle with a set of keys they found in one of the stolen purses.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
