Gorman Crime Report Zone 1: heat warning

Posted: June 12, 2014 1:47 p.m.
Updated: June 12, 2014 1:47 p.m.

I hope you are having a great and safe week.

As a reminder, due to the recent Station Fire, the PCT is closed from San Fransisquito Cyn. Rd.  going west to Pine Cyn Rd.  This means the hikers, who are coming through the area now, will be walking on the roads to get through the burned out areas. Please be cautious while driving.

UPDATE: The hikers coming through the area are thinning out now. The majority of the hikers have made it through the area.

Remember to stay cool and hydrated with the hot weather, which is now upon us.

100 gallons of fuel was taken from a Semi truck tractor at a local truck stop. The cash register and cash was taken from a restaurant in Gorman and the copper internals were stolen from the A/C unit outside of as vacant residence in the Neenach area.

If you have any information on the above crimes, please call the area Deputies or the hotline below.

I hope you have a great week.  Remember to keep those anonymous crime tips coming in.  Call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit http://lacrimestoppers.org
