‘Gypsy’ shakes things up

As "Gypsy" director Patti Finley noted last Friday evening, just before the opening performance of the production, "It's a fun show. The music is terrific. People know the songs but don't even know they came from this show."

Come back to ‘Jewtopia’

It has only been six months since my last review of "Jewtopia," which opened, for the second time, at the Repertory East Playhouse in Newhall last Friday night. Now, I had enjoyed the show quite a bit the first time, so the bar was set pretty high, and the likelihood of me being surprised by anything was pretty, well, unlikely, considering it was the same story and script. ‘Peter and the Wolf’ at PAC

"Peter and the Wolf" comes to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons this Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. An adaptation of the beloved children's classic, this production is the story of a young boy who must use his creativity and bravery to protect his animal friends from a threatening wolf. ‘Jewtopia’ returns to the REP

Jewtopia, written by Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson, is a comedy where stereotypes collide, cultures clash and chaos ensues, and it's back at the Repertory East Playhouse. The production, cosponsored by Friedman, Thompson and Co. and Wild Flour Gourmet Baking, is the longest running comedy ever to come out of Los Angeles.
