Kimberly A. Peck has been promoted to the rank of senior airman in the U.S. Air Force. She is the daughter of Robin E. and Debbie A. Peck of Santa Clarita.

Army Pvt. Fadi R. Tami has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.

Marine Corps Pfc. Eloy I. Sanchez, son of Reyna Gonzaga of Newhall, recently completed the Marine Corps Enlisted Warehouse Basic Course. During the course with Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools Training Command, Camp Lejeune, N. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Francis L. Enriquez, son of Violeta and Namor Enriquez of Stevenson Ranch, recently was promoted to his current rank while serving with Patrol Squadron 45, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla. Enriquez was promoted based on sustained superior job performance and proficiency in his designated specialty. Enriquez joined the Navy in August 2002.

Navy Seaman Recruit Anthony P. Schomaker, son of Sherry L. Schomaker of West Covina, Calif. and David A. Schomaker of Valencia, Calif., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Schomaker completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. Andrew A. Scraper is the Airman of the Quarter for Vandenberg AFB, California. Senior Airman Scraper was also recognized as Airman of the Quarter for the Space Communication Squadron and for the 30th Operations Group. These honors were awarded to Scraper on Oct. 30. SrA Scraper is a graduate of Valencia High School. He is the son of Sally and Keith Scraper of Valencia.
