Seniors who have trouble balancing on one leg for at least 20 minutes could have an increased risk of stroke and reduced cognitive function, according to a recent article in the American Heart Association's journal Stroke.
There is currently no cure for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and no drug or other intervention that will stop the progression of the disease. Medication currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of Alzheimer's may help maintain thinking, memory, and speaking skills, and may help with certain behavioral problems.
