Best friends since the fourth grade, Nicole Bergantino and Kimberly Hedman finish each other's sentences and laugh in tandem when they notice they're wearing the same sandals (Bergantino's toenails are black, while Hedman's sport a spunky red). Like most teens, the Hart High seniors love Starbucks, the mall and music.
Bergantino, 19, works as a nanny three times a week. After giving up volleyball and her allowance last year, she uses her paycheck to help pay for her car and gas, as well as saving for a spring break trip.
It's been 60 years and counting for the Agua Dulce Women's Club, which celebrated this milestone anniversary on March 8 during its annual Membership Luncheon and Fashion Show.
The Women's Club, which started as "The Mother's Club" back in the late 1940s, has been around almost a long as the town of Agua Dulce.

She made that statement about Wayne Crawford at the 2008 Silver Spur Award for Community Service celebration held last Saturday night at the Globe Theatre at Universal Studios Hollywood. The celebration was hosted by the College of the Canyons Foundation Board of Directors, who honored Crawford with the award in recognition of his many years of devoted service to Santa Clarita Valley non-profit groups and service agencies.

Just like Paris in the springtime, a persistent rain nearly washed out the outdoor patio area for the Moulin Rouge Cabaret at the Canyon Theater Guild on Saturday. Yet, it didn't stop the party and about 200 intrepid souls braved the wind and rain to revel in a little of "Gay Paree," brought to you by the usual suspects at the theatre.
