Members of the Unitarian Universalists of Santa Clarita Valley donated several hundred dollars to a Rwanda Genocide Library in Kigali, Rwanda, in September. The Interdisciplinary Genocide Studies Center in Rwanda launched an ambitious book donation drive to have 1,000 books on the shelves in time for the library's grand opening on April 1. Kathy Carbone, Performing Arts Librarian at California Institute of the Arts, informed the church about the library's needs during Sunday church services on Sept. 28. All proceeds collected that Sunday were donated to the center's efforts.
