Spiritual Center expands services
Many churches across the Santa Clarita Valley make their homes in rented spaces belonging to businesses, often setting up and taking down adornments within a few hours on Sunday mornings. The Santa Clarita Center for Spiritual Living was one of those churches, until its move in September 2012.

Ball brings young adults together in faith
On Dec. 21 a small group, based out of the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church on Copper Hill, hosted a Christmas Ball. The second annual ball was a formal event sponsored by the Young Beloved group.
A universal Christmas message
With only a few days left until Christmas, much of the Santa Clarita Valley hurries around finishing last-minute shopping. Last weekend, instead of rushing around malls or checking gifts off Christmas lists, nearly 3,000 people attended the fifth annual Christmas production at the Valencia stake Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on McBean Parkway.

Hanukkah with a mambo twist
As Hanukkah comes to a close tonight, the eighth and final night of the holiday, local synagogues use dreidels, menorahs and latkes to observe the festivities. In the midst of traditions that play an important role in the observances of Hanukkah, many Jews will also turn to music.
Cross-culture holiday community outreach
For the past seven years, Faith Community Church volunteers have come together to host an annual event known as "Festividad for Christ," an outreach event benefiting the surrounding community of Newhall.

Artists perform to bless others
With the Thanksgiving holiday now over, Santa Clarita Valley residents began preparing for the Christmas holiday. Several local churches started preparing months ago as they began planning and rehearsing for Christmas concerts.

Nazi’s son talks of overcoming hatred
Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger was born in Bamburg, Germany, in 1958. The son of a highly decorated Nazi officer spoke about his life of family, secrets, curiosity and eventual conversion to Judaism to attendees of the Ghosts of the Third Reich lecture at Chabad of SCV on Oct. 21.
