Bouquet Canyon Church turns 40

Susie Bastidas remembers sometime in the early 1970s when construction began on Bouquet Canyon Church. "I was probably around four," said Bastidas, now the children's ministry director of the Saugus church. "Our job was to go around and smash all the bugs that were sticking to the paint."

Grace Baptist's new pastor hopes to make youngsters 'world conscious'

Just two months into his new position as pastor of student life at Grace Baptist Church, R.J. Holt already has big plans for the Saugus church's youth ministry and its junior high and high school students. Church volunteers in Nicaragua

A team of volunteers from the Valencia United Methodist Church traveled to Nicaragua the first week of March to offer assistance to poor families. The families live in shacks in and around an area known as la chureca, a large trash dump located in Central Nicaragua near the city of Managua.
