Bokas celebrate golden anniversary

Doug and Geri Boka celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Deb. 9. The couple were married on Feb. 9 l963 at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church in Hollywood. The Bokas, now of Grass Valley. previously lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for 25 years. They will celebrate their golden anniversary with their children and grandchildren in the summer.

Furneys are golden

Tom and Dolly Furney recently celebrated their 50th golden wedding anniversary. The couple have been residents of the Santa Clarita Valley, primarily in Saugus, for more than 50 years. Dick and Betty Crawford of Newhall celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Feb. 28. The couple were married Feb. 28, 1942, in Glendale at the Wee Kirk of the Heather Church. Dick was born in Burbank, and after graduation, he started a racing business, which he still works at part-time, shaping parts for hot rod cars. Howard and Betty Ely celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Feb. 9. Howard Ely married the former Betty Gordon on Feb. 9, 1957 in San Fernando. The couple are 44 year residents of the Santa Clarita Valley. They currently reside in Saugus. They have two children, Diane Ely of Valencia and David Ely of Saugus.

Ron and Sammye Craigo, of Saugus, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 19. The couple were wed Jan. 19, 1952, in Litchfield Park, Ariz. The couple have three children: Terry (Barry Darden) of Chula Vista; Kim (Mike Tipre) of Thousand Oaks and Rick (Terri) Craigo, of Newhall. They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Ron Craigo is a retired from the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Dept. and Sammye Craigo is retired from Lockheed.

Lanpheres celebrate 50th

Sharon Tuck and Patrick Lanphere met at the Culver City Rollerdrome in 1956. They were married Oct. 8, 1960, and moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1969.
