Special Olympics gets rhythmic
Special Olympics Santa Clarita Valley and Gymnastics Unlimited have joined forces to bring rhythmic and artistic gymnastics to the special needs athletes of the Santa Clarita Valley.
Art at Hart Park is a quick draw
The annual Art at Hart Quick Draw will be held 7 p.m. Saturday in William S. Hart Park's Hart Hall. The event is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a private tour of priceless art and Western artifacts in silent film star Bill Hart's Spanish Colonial mansion. The tour will be held 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Among the artworks on display are several pieces by well-known Western artist Charles Russell.

Weiss wins Carmen Sarro Award
Stephanie Weiss, a long time resident of the Santa Clarita Valley with a history of volunteerism that dates to 1971, was named the winner of the Carmen Sarro Community Service Award by the Zonta Club of SCV. More than 200 attendees saw Weiss named the winner of the award out of a field of 20 nominees. Weiss was greeted with a standing ovation and tears as she came forward to accept the award.
