Did you remember to "fall" back before you went to bed last night and set your clock back an hour? If you forgot you might find yourself showing up an hour early to today's events, which include the Santa Clarita Marathon and Sunset in the Vineyard.
The dangers of saltwater to pets
We have lived in Santa Clarita since 1967 and have always had dogs. They have always been a big part of the family, going with us and participating in most everything we did. I guess this would make us dog lovers.

Michele E. Buttelman: Happy Halloween to SCV ghouls and goblins
Does anyone else thing it will seem odd that we're still on daylight saving time when Halloween rolls around on Wednesday? A benefit of the later change back to standard time this year is that it will be easier to spot the trick or treaters on the streets during the early evening. It's a school night, too, so I imagine the kids won't be out too late.
