I was sad to see the first Sierra Pelona Wine Festival postponed this past weekend. It was the right call due to all the rain we had in the days leading up to Saturday. I just wish they had picked another day, instead of April 20 with conflicts with the Cowboy Festival! I hate having to chose between two things I love, especially when it is Cowboy Festival versus wine!
While the owners are away, the dogs will play.

Brrr! It's been chilly in the Santa Clarita Valley this past week. Except for a brief warm spell that lasted only hours on Tuesday it's been exceptionally chilly for our normally balmy valley! Last night the weather report predicted a bone-chilling low of 28! It would be nice to get a little snow, but only enough to watch it fall, then it can melt!

The United States Department of Health and Human Services recently honored Children's Hospital Los Angeles for its commitment to saving lives through organ and tissue donation. Welcome 2013! The Santa Clarita Valley is just getting back to work after a wonderful holiday season. However, some schools don't return to the classroom until Jan. 14. I had a lovely holiday which I spent with family in Washington state.
