Corvette Club presents check

By Signal Staff The Santa Clarita Valley Corvette Club recently presented a check in the amount of $4,100 to the Painted Turtle Camp, located in Lake Elizabeth. The funds were the proceeds from the recent All-Corvette Car Show held at Route 66 Classic Grill in Canyon Country. Pets included on holiday shopping lists

On Christmas Day, Vanessa Brookman's son Myles won't be the only one to find a gift underneath the tree. Her dogs Jack and Ginger will also have a few presents to open. Brookman, who lives in Val Verde, wraps toys and treats every year for her pit bulls, which enjoy ripping off the paper and bows. Each dog also has a stocking.

Merry Graham cooks up more wins

I've just returned from my retreat on Whidbey Island, Wash. It was a lovely week which I spent visiting with friends, drinking salted caramel hot coco at the Local Grown coffee shop and taking in a great community theater production of "The Full Monty." I also had a fantastic seafood dinner of salmon, fresh Dungeness crab and fresh crab cakes. It really doesn't get any better than that!
