A perfect weekend for the Oscars

Who has money on "Argo to win it all at tonight's 85th annual Academy Awards? This is the first year I've not seen a majority of the Oscar contenders. I am hoping to watch a few on pay-per-few and DVD before the Awards begin tomorrow evening.

John Rosemond: Living with Children

Someone recently told me she wanted her children to "think for themselves." Not me, I said. If I was still in my active parenting years, I would most definitely want my children to think like I do. That would be, in fact, my primary purpose. I would want them to accept that my values are the right values to hold and I'd want them to eventually make every effort to pass those values on to their children. But then, I don't subscribe to the postmodern notion that all values are equal. I'm not a relativist.

Rock, Walk & Wag yourself to Central Park

AngelDogs Foundation (www.angeldogsfoundation.org) will host, "Rock, Walk & Wag;" (www.rockwalkwag.org) a community event to raise public awareness and funds for spay/neuter. The event will take place at Central Park in Saugus, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.
