A fundraiser for the Castaic Education Foundation will be held at Jersey Mike's in Castaic from Friday through Sunday. Jersey Mike's is issuing coupons to all Castaic Union School District students, which allow $2 of the purchase price to go directly to the foundation.

Arm-wrestling competition Saturday

John Brzenk, Guinness World Record-holder in armwrestling, is coming to the Santa Clarita Valley Saturday, Nov. 14 to help raise funds for the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Project. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m, professionals, amateurs and first-time armwrestlers are invited to the Residence Inn on The Old Road for some friendly competition. Participants will compete in their own weight class and fight for the champion title.
