The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station screened more than 900 vehicles and made one arrest during an eight-hour DUI and driver's license checkpoint Friday night through Saturday morning.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Crime Prevention Unit This week period, Zone 5 (Valencia) had twenty Part-1 crimes reported. The criminal incidents included residential/vehicle burglaries, grand theft auto and a few petty thefts/shoplifting from local businesses. One residential burglary occurred on the 23500 block of Via Barra during an unknown period of time. Items stolen were a guitar and a Bose Radio sound dock.
