Detectives investigate baby's death A baby was pronounced dead 10:35 a.m. Saturday at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. The child was a one-year-old boy, said Melanie Flores, supervising fire dispatcher with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Sheriff's deputies received a call about 9:50 a.m. from a home in Valencia. The boy was then taken to Newhall Memorial, where he was pronounced dead. The ...
