DMV announces new laws for the new year

The Department of Motor Vehicles reminded motorists of several new laws effective in 2009. Among the legislation was AB2241, which limits the issuance of temporary operating permits to those with vehicles yet to pass a smog check. Holiday emergency

Dylan Olivas, 3, plays at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Tuesday. Olivas was taken to the emergency room Friday night for appendicitis and underwent surgery Saturday. He will be released in time to spend Christmas with his family.
