Annual Piru Creek cleanup

The annual Piru Creek cleanup and picnic lunch/BBQ is Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., startinsg at Frenchman's Flat. Sponsored by the Community Hiking Club, Friends of the River, the Santa Clarita Casting Club, and the Federation of Fly Fishers Southwest Council, the cleanup is designed to remove litter and other micro-trash from the creek and its banks.

Beating the heat at McGrath

Crash victim gets some helping hands
