Traffic stop leads to "honey oil lab" discovery, arrest of 20-year-old

At approximately 6pm, on Saturday, May 24, 2014, deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Summer Violent Crime Enforcement Program (SVCEP) stopped a vehicle for routine traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver was detained pending a narcotics investigation, and the vehicle was searched. Inside the vehicle's trunk, deputies found all the makings for a lab, used to extract hash oil (also known as honey oil) from marijuana. Santa Clarita deputies discover ‘honey oil’ lab, make arrest

A 20-year-old Castaic man was in custody Saturday night on suspicion of having, making and transporting concentrated cannibis after deputies pulled him over and discovered hash oil and items used to extract hash oil from marijuana, sheriff's officials said in a news release.

Saugus board member announces plans to resign

Mr. Bryce has accepted a new job in the San Diego area and will be relocating to the San Diego area.
