Man shot on Canyon Country street identified

A man killed during a deputy-involved shooting in Canyon Country Thursday night has been identified as 47-year-old Steven Burke Pettersen of Canyon Country, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner's Department.

Postal Service to open 'Mega Passport Acceptance Office' in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA - On May 31, 2014, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will open a new 2,000 square foot Mega Passport Office at the Castaic Branch Post Office, located at the Santa Clarita Processing and Distribution Center, 28201 Franklin Parkway in Santa Clarita.
