Traffic stop leads to "honey oil lab" discovery, arrest of 20-year-old

At approximately 6pm, on Saturday, May 24, 2014, deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Summer Violent Crime Enforcement Program (SVCEP) stopped a vehicle for routine traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver was detained pending a narcotics investigation, and the vehicle was searched. Inside the vehicle's trunk, deputies found all the makings for a lab, used to extract hash oil (also known as honey oil) from marijuana. Saugus board member announces plans to resign

Saugus Union School District Board of Education Member Douglas (Doug) Bryce has announced that he will be resigning his position as a Board Member. Mr. Bryce has accepted a new job in the San Diego area and will be relocating to the San Diego area.
