Plane crash story was incorrect

Due to a reporting error, The Signal online, on Facebook and on Twitter incorrectly reported the cause of the July 5, 2012, crash of an ultralight piloted by longtime Santa Clarita Valley resident Harry Bell. The final National Transportation Safety Board report on the crash near Piru has not been issued. The Signal regrets the error.

SCV Sheriff's team saves suicidal man from jumping off cliff

On Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at approximately 10:05am deputies assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station received a call for service regarding a 42-year-old male who was possibly suicidal. A short time later, the man's vehicle was located (parked) at Sierra Highway and Newhall Avenue.
