McKeon blasts detainee transfer

The transfer of Guantanamo Bay prison detainee Ahmed Ghailani to a prison in New York was strongly criticized today by Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon. Ghailani is an accused co-conspirator of the Aug. 7, 1998, U.S. Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that killed 234 people. In a statement issued Tuesday, McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, slammed the decision by President Barack Obama to begin transferring prisoners from Guantanamo Bay to the U.S.
