UPDATED 6:05 p.m. An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Southern California Tuesday at 11:42:15 a.m. The quake was centered two miles southwest of Chino Hills, and 8.5 miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
