Two local men killed in auto collisions
Two local men died in separate traffic collisions this weekend. Antonio Galvan Jr., 28, of Stevenson Ranch, was killed when his vehicle overturned on Interstate 5 south of the Newhall Pass early Sunday morning.

Man stabbed in Canyon Country
A 22-year-old man was reportedly stabbed in the chest or torso area Saturday evening in the Cordova Estates Mobile Home park. According to Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station, the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 27300 block of Sierra Highway. Relay for Life will net nearly $500,000
Thousands of individuals impacted by cancer gathered at Central Park on Saturday for the record-setting 10th annual Santa Clarita Valley Relay for Life. The American Cancer Society sponsored event, known as "A Passport to Hope," included 109 teams, plus dozens of visitors and volunteers, to fight for the cause and raise money for research, according to Candy Spahr, one of the three event chairpersons.
