District offers Accountability Report Cards

School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) are now posted online at www.hartdistrict.org under the "School Accountability Reports" link. The most current reports are for the 2006-07 school year, since results of testing in spring 2008 won't be available until later this fall.

Meadows students dominate in philosophy slam

The youngsters at Meadows Elementary School in Valencia are on top of their game when it comes to understanding global warming.

Ten-year-old Hunter Shapiro-Throckmorton was given the title of "The Most Philosophical Fourth Grader in America" and 10-year-old Camryn Patterson was named "The Most Artistic Student in America" after submitting their award-winning entries to the 2008 Kids Philosophy Slam.

Local water officials discuss drought crisis tonight

Local water officials are expected to hear tonight about the state's "impending water crisis" and about implications of the governor's recent declaration of a drought, from the lobbyists they pay to stay close to politicians in Sacramento.
