The Financial Accountability and Audit Panel will meet annually to review the city's management of funds collected for the open space district voters approved in 2007. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion Tuesday calling for the development of a countywide alert system that would notify local officials whenever a sex offender tries to register at the address of a state-licensed foster or child care facility.
