MDA ‘lock-up’ set to raise funds

Santa Clarita business executives will "serve time" to raise money for children with muscular dystrophy this week. The Muscular Dystrophy Association will host a "lock-up" in a mock jail Thursday, during which volunteers will try to "raise bail" by calling friends and asking for donations for the local chapter. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Outback Steakhouse, located at 25261 N. The Old Road in Valencia. "Bail" will be set at $1,250, which will sponsor a child for the entire year. Postal Service to open 'Mega Passport Acceptance Office' in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA - On May 31, 2014, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will open a new 2,000 square foot Mega Passport Office at the Castaic Branch Post Office, located at the Santa Clarita Processing and Distribution Center, 28201 Franklin Parkway in Santa Clarita.
